So my friend recently dropped his iPhone 8 in water, thereby damaging the screen. However, the phone still turns on, which (correct me if I'm wrong) leads me to believe that the logic board should be intact. Now, Im planning on buying the phone off of him for cheap, as well as purchasing an IMEI locked iPhone on eBay at a discounted price, then taking his logic board and putting it in the newly acquired phone. I have all the screwdrivers and shit to do the swap. Will this work? Or are there more... So I just bought a used iPhone XS 2 weeks ago. My question is, is it more likely for the screen to be damaged by the drop or the logic board. I can replace the screen but a logic board replacement would sadly be too expensive for an older phone. ... The phone shuts off on its own which i fixed by doing a hard restart, then right after you couldnt swipe to the right or left which again i fixed by doing a hard restart, then i new problem showed up this time the phone did not want to connect to wifi or bluetooth which again i fixed by doing a hard restart. Keep in mind each time i hard restart i get rid of the problem but right after a new one shows up, maybe its a software problem? Can someone help me out?
